What that looks like has evolved considerably.

We started by helping businesses understand their systems, processes and operational challenges. As technology evolved, so did the ways to solve them.

Integration → Automation → AI

Today, CROFTI helps businesses see where AI can create meaningful value, prioritise the right opportunities, design practical solutions and choose the best pathway to bring them to life.

Through every stage, our approach has stayed the same. Understand the problem first. Then determine the right way to solve it.

Tier-2 builder

Built with a clear purpose

Founded on a belief that technology should make business simpler.

CROFTI was founded by owner and CEO Lucas Meadowcroft. From the beginning, the focus has been on understanding how businesses actually operate before recommending how technology should change them.

That philosophy has stayed constant as CROFTI has evolved, and it still shapes how we work, the solutions we design and where we go next.

Today, Lucas continues to lead CROFTI with the same approach:

Understand the business problem first.

Challenge what’s not working.

Then use technology and AI where they create genuine value.

Our journey

Technology has changed significantly. So have we.

Each stage of our journey has been shaped by the same question.

Is there a better way to do this?

01

The beginning

It started with the problem.

CROFTI began by helping businesses understand their systems, processes and operational challenges.

We saw businesses investing in technology while their teams still dealt with manual processes, disconnected information, duplicated effort and systems that didn’t work the way the business needed.

More technology wasn’t necessarily the answer. The starting point had to be understanding the problem.

02

Systems and integration

Making technology work better together.

As businesses adopted more technology, individual systems worked well but the gaps between them created friction. Information lived in different places. Teams moved data by hand. Work was duplicated because systems couldn’t communicate.

Rather than replacing everything, we looked at how existing systems could be connected, simplified and made to work harder.

Better technology didn’t always mean more technology. Sometimes it meant making what was already there work better together.

03

Automation

Removing the work that didn’t need people.

Once systems could communicate, the next question was clear. Why were people spending valuable time on work technology could handle for them?

Repetitive administration, manual data movement, reporting, hand-offs and routine workflows could increasingly happen without someone pushing every step forward.

Automation wasn’t about removing people. It was about removing unnecessary work, so people could focus on what needs their knowledge, judgement and experience.

04

The AI shift

Technology changed what was possible.

AI changed what could be automated, how people find and use information, how businesses analyse data and make decisions, and how technology itself gets built. Solutions that once needed significant custom development could suddenly be approached very differently.

It also brought an endless stream of AI tools, platforms and promises. So the question changed.

The question was

“What can AI do?”

It became

“Where does AI actually make sense for our business?”

05

CROFTI today

From AI possibility to practical action.

Today, CROFTI sits where business thinking, AI, automation and solution design meet. Whatever the engagement, the starting point is the same: what problem are we actually trying to solve? From there, we help clients:

Identifywhere AI and automation can create meaningful value.
Prioritisethe opportunities worth pursuing.
Definewhat the right solution should look like.
Validatethe right pathway before significant investment is made.
Implementusing the right mix of AI-assisted and traditional approaches.

The objective isn’t to put AI everywhere. It’s to put it where it makes sense.

What hasn’t changed

Our values have travelled with us.

Our services have evolved. The technology has evolved. The way solutions get built has changed dramatically. The principles behind how we work haven’t.

Partnerships over transactions

We’re here to understand your business, not deliver a piece of technology and disappear.

The best outcomes come from working together, challenging thinking and deciding based on what’s right for the business.

People over process

Technology should work for people, not the other way around.

We design change around the people who will use it, because a solution only creates value when people can use it well.

Simplicity with impact

Complexity isn’t a measure of sophistication. We look for the simplest way to solve the right problem and create meaningful business impact.

Clarity through transparency

We’ll tell you what we think, what we know and what we don’t.

If AI isn’t the right answer, we’ll say so. If an opportunity needs more validation, we’ll say that too.

Create WOW

We care about the experience as much as the outcome. From how we work with your team to the solutions we help create, we want the result to exceed what you thought was possible.

The next chapter

AI is changing more than technology.

AI isn’t simply another tool to adopt. It’s changing how work gets done, how solutions are developed and what organisations can do for themselves.

We believe the businesses that benefit most won’t necessarily be the ones using the most AI. They’ll be the ones that understand:

Where it belongs.

Why they’re using it.

What problem it’s solving.

What outcome they’re trying to create.

That’s the next chapter we’re helping businesses navigate. And we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done:

Understand the problem.

Challenge the assumptions.

Find the simplest path forward.

Help people use technology to do more of what they do best.

Technology will keep changing.

So will we.

But our purpose won’t.

Get started

Start with the problem you’re trying to solve.

An Innovation Alignment Call is a practical conversation about where your business is today, what’s getting in the way, and whether AI belongs in the answer.
